Mini birthday bunting with Cutie Pie Thinlits

The Sweet Stack Stamp set & Cutie Pie Thinlits make a lovely cake box (see previous entry). But you can use them for many other projects too. Here I've made mini birthday bunting.

I stamped the Happiest of Birthdays stamp & cut it out with the triangle die. I repeat stamped the stamp in a contrasting colour & punched out the centre using the 3/4" circle punch. I mounted that on the  7/8" scalloped circle punch, then mounted them both on a 1" circle punched from gold glimmer card.
Use the ric rac type die to cut the scalloped edge - the scallops match the length of the triangle perfectly. Glue them to the back of the card, just peeping out. Finally punch holes either side of each pennant & string bakers twine through.

I think it looks great in small spaces - dressing up a work colleague's desk perhaps.

Or string it across a kitchen cupboard.

It's a fun little project & costs pence to make :)

Cake slice gift box

I made this lovely cake slice gift box using the Cutie Pie thinlits dies to cut the box out, and the Sweet Stack stamp set for the sentiment.

They have a rear closure & really do make lovely little gift & favour boxes. You can put sweets, money & tiny tokens in them.

The thinlits come with lots of little extra pieces I've not used here. In addition, I've added a paper flower made with the spiral flower die. The leaves are from the retired Flower Frenzy die. The nearest current equivalent would be the Bouquet Bigz die.

I am on a diet & would love to be able to bouncily declare that this cake "is as good as having the real thing!!".

It is not.
